The Manifesto

Software should do its job and disappear.

We miss tools that worked and got out of the way. Somewhere along the line, the industry decided that "recurring revenue" was more important than actually solving the problem. We disagree.

Email security is not complicated. It is three DNS records and a decision. The entire DMARC industry exists to make that feel harder than it is, because confusion is profitable.

We built SendCanary because we were tired of it. Tired of dashboards nobody checks. Tired of "monitoring mode" that never ends. Tired of software that needs you to need it.

Fix it and leave.

We set up your records, watch for problems, and get out of your life. Your protection lives in DNS — the same infrastructure that makes the internet work. It doesn't need us running to keep you safe.

The Big Red Button.

Every SendCanary account has one. It reverts your DNS to standalone records that work without us. One click. No phone call, no "retention specialist," no 30-day cooling-off period. We took a snapshot of your records before we touched anything, and we'll put them back exactly how they were.

If your security vendor won't give you an exit button, ask yourself who the product really is.

Disappearing is the point.

The best security software is the kind you forget you have. You set it up, it does its job, and you go back to running your business. That is the entire product philosophy. Not engagement. Not stickiness. Not monthly active users. Just: does it work? Good. Go live your life.
